2008 Bench-to-Bedside Funded Projects

The NIH Clinical Center created the Bench-to-Bedside awards program in 1999 to speed translation of promising laboratory discoveries into new medical treatments by encouraging collaborations among basic scientists and clinical investigators. The program was open for the first time to research teams made up of intramural and extramural partners in 2006.
