She has been a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist at NIH since 1987 first providing clinical coverage to pediatric oncology, bone marrow transplantation, and HIV patients. In 1998 she began providing clinical coverage for the pediatric program which sees children with a variety of medical conditions such as endocrine, neurology, genetics, immune deficiencies, hematology and oncology. Ms. Woolery is an active member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses, and Oncology Nursing Society. She has served on the ONS Putting Evidence in to Practice project teams for Constipation and Prevention of Infection.

Serves as a member providing nursing input on research studies prior to IRB submission.
Ommaya Reservoir
Program developed to train nurses in the administration medications via Ommaya reservoir.
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration
Program developed to educate and train nurses in safe administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy for non cancer indications.
Co-developer of the standards for oral administration of hazardous agents.
Advanced Oncology Education Series (AOES)
Program developed to support the ongoing educational needs of experienced oncology nurses at the NIH and in the community
