Nurses graduate year-long training program at the Clinical Center

Clinical Center Nursing Department leadership, family and friends joined in celebrating the accomplishments and hard work of the Clinical Research Nursing Residency Program Cohort 4 Nov. 15. The 12 month program, which commenced its 5th class of residents on Nov. 1, is designed to assist new nurse graduates as they transition from novice nurses into clinical research nurses, providing high quality care to research participants in a clinical research environment. The residency program assists new nurses from a variety of clinical specialty areas develop clinical and research skills and knowledge through a diverse educational curriculum. Residents are also provided with transition support from coordinators, peers, and stakeholders as they grow professionally and personally. Successful residents graduate from the program with the skills, experience, and knowledge required to provide high quality care to research participants in the clinical research setting. We congratulate both cohorts of nurse residents as they begin a new journey in their careers!

Coordinator Rachel Perkins with nurses Lola Saidkhodjaeva, Lisa Krueger, Michelle Maddux, Kate Nelson, Osagie John, Jennifer Brooks, Anna Kelly, Melissa Sbrocco, Haley Maness Maggie Fagan and Shada Johnson-McLean.
