Project SEARCH NIH graduates ninth class

Project SEARCH graduates and team
Congratulations to the ninth class of graduates from the NIH Project SEARCH program! Project SEARCH at NIH began in the fall of 2010 and has provided workplace training and education to over 80 young adults. The 30-week internship program attempts to level the playing field for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are transitioning from school to work. Following graduation, five of the interns will be hired through NIH at the National Cancer Institute, the National Eye Institute and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. In addition, two others are seeking competitive employment in the community.
