For Immediate Release News Advisory NIH Clinical Center Announces 2008 “Medicine for the Public” Lecture SeriesWhat: The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center will hold its annual Medicine for the Public lecture series November 25 through December 16. Presented every fall since 1978, the series provides the public with information on medical research geared toward the non-scientist. The lectures begin at 7 p.m. They are free and open to the public. When: Tuesday, December 2 Tuesday, December 9 Tuesday, December 16 Where: Lipsett Amphitheater More Information: Security is tight at NIH. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the lecture to allow time for security clearance and bring a government issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport). All visitors’ vehicles will be inspected. Enter NIH at NIH Gateway Drive and Rockville Pike. Come by Metro, if possible. Exit at Medical Center on the red line, located at the NIH Gateway Center (Bldg. 66). Who Should Attend: General public.
