Welcome to the website for the Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Associates (PAs) at the National Institutes of Health. Our intention is to spotlight these professions at the NIH and to provide information for the advanced practice provider interested in clinical research.
There are currently more than 200 NPs and more than 50 PAs within the NIH Clinical Center and various Institutes. Each advanced practice provider works in collaboration with a research team to provide continuity of care for patients enrolled in clinical trials. We are committed in our profession to providing exceptional quality of care through our unique clinical perspective, training, and skills.
