Lung Study
Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are seeking healthy volunteers for a study about lung health. Doctors here are studying the lungs of healthy individuals to compare with people who have lung disease. Results of research like this will help us learn more about the development of lung disease and different ways to treat it. Compensation for participation is provided.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are healthy and 18 years or older
- Have NOT been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis (a type of lung disease)
Study participation includes:
- 1 or more outpatient visits
- Medical history, physical exam, and chest x-ray, blood draw, breathing tests, and a 6-minute walk test
Location: The NIH Clinical Center, America's research hospital, is conveniently located on the Metro Red Line (Medical Center stop) in Bethesda, Maryland.
