Healthy Volunteers Needed

Help End Malaria

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there were nearly 212 million new malaria cases and over 439,000 malaria deaths in 2015. A safe and effective malaria vaccine is needed to prevent malaria-related deaths. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are seeking healthy volunteers for a research study of an investigational malaria vaccine.

You may be able to participate in the study if you:

  • Are a healthy man or non-pregnant woman 18-50 years old
  • Have not travelled to a region where malaria is common in the last 5 years
  • Have not received an investigational malaria vaccine in the last 5 years

Study visits are outpatient and take place at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. All participants will be compensated.

The time to act is NOW.

Location: The NIH Clinical Center, America's research hospital, is conveniently located on the Metro Red Line (Medical Center stop) in Bethesda, Maryland.
