From patient to performer, Kevin Milner brings music in the atrium

Musical performer playing the guitar
In late July, NIH patient Kevin Milner, a musician from Kentucky, performed original compositions for staff and patients in the Clinical Center, as part of the series "Music in the Atrium." Milner, a musician who plays guitar, sings and writes original compositions, said he appreciates the work of all the staff at NIH and would like to "give back" with his music.

"It felt like an honor to perform for everyone that has been so kind to me and cared so much about making me well," Milner said. "I loved performing for my doctors so they could see a different side of me and hopefully make them happy because I know how stressful their day is. Also, they clapped the loudest of everyone so I'm glad they were there!"
