CRIS Training

CRIS (Clinical Research Information System) is the electronic medical record for NIH patients. Training information on this page is for Non-Prescribers only. Note: if you are credentialed as a Prescriber (MD, DO, NP, CRNA, PA) through the Office of Credentialing Services, you will receive email notification regarding CRIS Training. Forward questions to the Office of Credentialing Services at 301-496-5937.

Role-Based CRIS Training for Non-Prescribers

To gain access to CRIS, you must complete role-based CRIS Training. To self-register, choose between two available pathways to complete CRIS Training that fit your learning style and schedule: Remote CRIS Training or Facilitated CRIS Training Lab. Both pathways are supported by experienced CRIS Training Facilitators who can answer your questions. (NIH username/ password and active HHS LMS profile required)

Remote CRIS Training

The independent learning pathway is called Remote CRIS Training, which can be completed anywhere, anytime as long as you have an internet connection.


Facilitated CRIS Training Lab

The facilitated learning pathway is called Facilitated CRIS Training Lab, which is completed in the CRIS Training Lab in Building 10 Room 1C290. You must reserve a seat during lab session times.
